US Duties & Tariffs
Last Updated: August 17, 2026
Current Tariffs
- Effective July 24th, 2026 a 10% Section 301 tariff currently applies to many products imported from Canada, including herbal tinctures.
- Effective August 19, 2026, an additional 50% Section 338 tariff currently applies to many products imported from Canada, including herbal tinctures.
As a result, affected orders may be charged up to 60% in U.S. import tariffs based on the declared customs value. These tariffs are imposed by the U.S. government and are collected from the recipient through U.S. Customs or the shipping carrier.
Customs & Carrier Fees
Additional customs and carrier fees may also apply, including:
- Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF): A standard U.S. Customs fee charged on all imports.
- Brokerage or Entry Fees: Charged by carriers (UPS, Purolator, FedEx, DHL, etc.) for preparing and submitting customs paperwork.
These fees are separate from tariffs and are determined by U.S. Customs and/or the carrier.
What to Expect
Customers are responsible for any duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage or customs fees assessed on their shipment.
Tariff regulations are changing rapidly, and the final amount assessed is determined by U.S. Customs at the time your shipment enters the United States.
In light of these changes, we encourage customers to be aware and prepared for potential fees and variations in customs handling while carriers implement these new systems.
